UNICEF takes Lassa fever campaign to Anambra

FOLLOWING the current outbreak of Lassa fever that claimed 3 lives in Anambra state, consisting of a clinical medical doctor, the United countries youngsters’s Fund,
UNICEF, has hooked up an enlightenment marketing campaign in 5 local authorities regions inside the kingdom believed to be at once or circuitously suffering from the disorder, to teach the people on how to avoid contracting it. The UNICEF –assisted Communications Officer (SOMTEC) in Anambra country, Mrs. Chineze Ileka, who is leading high –powered officers on the enlightenment programme predicted to stop subsequent week, said the arena frame was worried approximately the loss of lives through Lassa fever in the kingdom, even when there was no outbreak of the ailment in the country. those taking part in the enlightenment programme were stakeholders from all the groups in the five nearby authorities areas, who were expected to further teach their humans on the grass root level on methods of avoiding the spread of the sickness.
